Embassy of Slovenia: A Scientific and Educational Showcase

Embassy of Slovenia organized a scientific and educational showcase featuring renowned Slovenian experts in science, research and academia. The program included a presentation of American – Slovenian Educational Foundation, lecture by computer scientist Jure Leskovec, presentations by members of Društvo VTIS – a platform of Slovenes educated abroad and a presentation of OpeningupSlovenia, an initiative by the leading Slovenian scientific research facility – the Jožef Stefan Institute.

The showcase was followed by a reception celebrating 50 Years of the U.S. – Slovenia Fulbright Exchange Program. Opening remarks were given by Amabssador Dr. Cerar. The honorary speaker was Marianne Craven, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Academic Programs. On the occasion an exhibition by American – Slovenian artist Gary Bukovnik was opened.
