News From The Slovenian Embassy in Canada

On December 12, the Slovenian Ambassador to Canada held a reception at his residence in Ottawa  which commemorated  the 25th anniversary of the plebiscite for the independence of the Republic of  Slovenia. Among the approximately 45 guests were those who reside temporarily in Canada, as well as Canadians of Slovenian origin. Guests enjoyed the opportunity to meet and spend time with people who share their common background.

Ambassador, Marjan Cencen, spoke about the importance of Slovenian Independence Day, as well as some of the current activities and achievements of the Slovenian Embassy in 2015. The guests at the event were able to taste a variety of Slovenian dishes, wines, and other beverages.
