First Slovenian Kids Go To Kickstarter

24 Hands Stands: New Stand for Kids by Kids is a unique Kickstarter campaign, first of it’s kind in Slovenia, since it is made by children aged 9 to 13 who have first been learning about Kickstarter for four months at Tri sestre Society’s entrepreneurial workshop Otroci grejo na Kickstarter (Kids go to Kickstarter). And then they developed the idea.

The goal of the project is to raise funds to make a new stand that kids designed for themselves with the help of an architect to solve all the problems they encountered during selling their handmade crafts at classical table stands. Problems like: no shade on sunny days, no roof over their heads and over their crafts in the case of a shower, flimsy stand structure on windy days, no built in system for displaying their different crafts, difficult portability of the stand.

Otroci grejo na Kickstarter (Kids go to Kickstarter) is a series of entrepreneurial workshops for children from 9 to 14 mentored by Kickstarter entrepreneur Niko Klanšek and entrepreneurial workshops tutor Alenka Kovač Berčič. We aim to wake up the entrepreneurial spirit in children and practically let them experience and learn all the different phases of preparing a Kickstarter campaign to be ready in the future to promote and put forward ideas of their own. The Tri Sestre Society is the organizer of the Kickstarter workshop.
